What a wedding in Essen demands
Essen weddings combine industrial heritage with green spaces: converted halls and colliery buildings on one side, villas, parks and the Baldeneysee lakeshore on the other. Halls with history call for carefully matched acoustics, and lakeside venues often have early curfews for outdoor areas.
The rooms we are configured for in Essen
Industrial heritage hall
Steel, brick, lots of reverb — we match the setup to the hall in advance so ceremony and dinner don't blur in the echo.
Villa or manor house
Elegant rooms with limited space and restrictions on load-in and power. Clarified with the venue beforehand.
Lakeshore and terrace
Outdoor ceremony and reception, often with curfews for outdoor areas — the move indoors is part of the timeline.
Grand hotel ballroom
Hard surfaces, table conversation first. In-ear monitoring instead of stage wedges keeps dinner conversation-friendly.
We clarify the room type in advance with the venue and in-house technicians. We bring backline, in-ear monitoring and our own sound engineer; PA and lighting are coordinated with the venue — on request we supply the complete system for an additional fee.
The phases of your wedding day
01
Ceremony
Acoustic and understated: processional, ring exchange, recessional — pieces you choose, timed precisely to the order of service.
02
Champagne reception
Lounge sets, warm and conversation-friendly, while photos are taken and guests arrive.
03
Dinner
Controlled volume, elegant repertoire — the music carries the room without drowning out conversation.
04
First dance
Your song, arranged live — optionally flowing straight into the first party set.
05
Party
Soul, funk, disco, the 80s to today: a dance floor without lulls, read from the room, not from a list.
06
Band + DJ
A seamless hand-over to our DJ, so the night keeps going after the band's final encore.

Yes. We arrange your first dance and selected requests live for our line-up. Let us know in good time and we'll rehearse them.

For weddings we usually play with 7 to 10 musicians including vocals and horns. Smaller acoustic line-ups are available for ceremony or reception, and up to 14 musicians for large celebrations.

Do you play weddings abroad?
Yes. We are available for destination weddings in Mallorca, on Lake Como, Santorini, in Monaco and Dubai, among others. We handle travel and production logistics ourselves, and our repertoire is multilingual.
